Three local artists will perform Thursday, Sept. 3, at The Lodge, 131 So. Spruce, at 7:00 p.m. The Townsend Roots event will feature Scout Lynde, Claire Amundson and Sarah Frazier. All are from the Townsend area. The event is co-hosted with Broadwater Community Theater.
Scout Lynde believes music is for everyone; it requires nothing from an audience to be enjoyed. As a singer/songwriter, Scout enjoys telling stories about the human experience through her art. She writes and composes music using guitar and ukulele to create songs with an alternative folk sound. The content of Scout’s lyrics highlights the strange and beautiful experience of “being human”, and largely focuses on connection, resilience, and the relationships she treasures.
Claire Amundson grew up playing music with her friends and family. She is so excited to be playing in her hometown after recent time spent internationally. Claire began playing guitar at 14 and has been writing music ever since. Her music has notable folk, indie, punk, and alternative influences.
Nate H. Wolf of Modest Music Festival in Moscow, Idaho, explains Sarah Frazier’s music this way: “Sarah Frazier's unique brand of electronic music is composed of ethereal and melodic vocals, layers of looped instruments, and undeniable pop sensibilities. Her music feels like a journey with songs that swell only to fall away again. Her performance was absolutely breathtaking to watch.”
Sarah performs under the name ‘Queenager’. She is an established performer in Bozeman and Missoula regions.
Other artists who will perform are Laura Frazier, Hannah Frazier, and Mike Sander.
Light finger food and beverages will be available. For more information, please check bctmt.org.
